25 Aug Should I feed my cat and dog a grain free diet?

Why grain is dried pet food is bad. Grains, like corn are used in pet food primarily to keep production costs down.

Wheat, rice and other grains can be difficult for dogs and cats to digest. Prior to harvesting these grains are often treated with an array of toxic chemicals which end up in your pets food and then in their stomach. Long term consumption leads to serious health problems.

The grain used in pet food is usually of the wrong quality and quantity. Much of the mass-produced dog and cat dried food on the market today is packed full of highly processed grain, which means that pets miss out on the powerful nutraceutical properties and beneficial phytonutrients that are naturally present in high-quality whole grains such as brown rice, oats, and teff.
